She was often called the “Second Swedish Nightingale.” This is the closing cut from a letter: “Believe me my dear, Miss Fairman, Yours very truly, Christine Nilsson Rougaud” (signed with her married name). There is more in her handwriting on the verso of the 4 1/8 x 1 ½ inch piece. Some mounting traces on the verso.
