Howdy Doody was first introduced on television during 1947 or 1948. The show was set in Doodyville with an audience of children in an area known as the "Peanut Gallery." There was Buffalo Bob, Clarabell, Cornelius Cobb, and many others. This show ran until 1960. Edward Kean wrote most of the shows between 1947 and 1955, and also wrote the lyrics to "It's Howdy Doody Time!" Mirror is very reminiscent of those early days, and image and artwork looks like early 1950's, but mirror was probably made during the 1970's or 1980's. Front is Howdy Doody and the back is the actual mirror. No printing on the edge. Exact age of mirror is not known. An excellent item for collectors of Howdy Doody, Puppet Playhouse or early days television program memorabilia. Thank you for looking! | | |
